Kitchen roll down the toilet really???

Was in a good mood until DP came home, for some reason I'm having one of those days where he's rubbing me up the wrong way....
Just before he got in I was finishing up cleaning the bathroom and not cleared away all the cleaning supplies etc yet.
First things he says "Err twocultures there is kitchen roll in the bathroom" like he's just seen an elephant on an flipping unicycle! yes it is physically possible for that to happen as the effing kitchen roll is not just meant to be used in the kitchen !! (It wouldn't usually bother me but he asks questions like that often e.g. Why is the remote there and not there ? Etc)
Then he comes downstairs with a bit of kitchen roll that I put in the toilet and says I shouldn't be flushing this down the toilet as it will cause a blockage......?
AIBU to think it's just like loo roll or is there some secret rule about flushing kitchen roll down the toilet that I don't know about ??? Or is he just being annoying?

No he is right. It doesn't dissolve like loo roll does and will block it like baby wipes do. Haven't you ever tried to tear wet kitchen roll? I use Plenty brand and its actually pretty tough.

He is totally correct. Kitchen roll in the loo is bad!

Yep, he's right. It's not made to disintegrate the way loo paper does so it can cause a blockage.

put bog roll under the tap and it disintegrates, try it with kitchen paper

my ndn put tons of baby wipes down the loo that was fun when the plumber unblocked it

Yes you can't do that. Didn't you ever wonder why it doesn't disintegrate when wet and your using it for cleaning?

I was hoping I was right as he drives me up the wall telling me how I should be doing things he never does e.g. How to iron the sleeve of a shirt etc Half the time I end up thinking "if you don't like the way I'm doing it you do it yourself!"

However, you are correct that there is nothing wrong with paper towels being sighted (or indeed sited) in the bathroom. Just put the used ones in the bin, not in the loo.

So he won't iron his shirts? Then just leave them! If he wants to go to work in creased shirts then let him be.

I agree that kitchen roll shouldn't be flushed down the loo however your H's approach to tackling the issue would infuriate me too. Why can't he just explain nicely that you shouldn't flush it rather than framing it as s criticism. The questioning why the remote isn't where it's meant to be or telling you you're not ironing his shirts correctly would drive me nuts. YANBU.
My ex was like this. Endlessly going on about why things weren't in a certain place - always finding fault and never being happy about all the 101 things I'd done while he'd been at work and only commenting on the one thing that in his view hadn't been done correctly. Grrrrrr!

One he's wonderful a great dad, hard working and always tries to make me laugh but he can drive me nuts with stupid questions and trying to tell me how to do things he doesn't do! Makes me want to throw a shoe at his head half the time, last time he told me how I should iron a shirt I asked him wether he'd rather do it himself and went to pass him the iron and he looked like a deer in headlights laughed awkwardly and ran out of the room

I'm not sure what you find funny about an adult being rude as fuck and not knowing how to even attempt to iron something. That's like living with a toddler.

Art yes he avoids the iron at all times however he's not afraid to come home from work and get stuck into washing all the dishes from the day or cooking dinner because I've not managed it whilst watching DS all day, or make me a cup of coffee and take DS for a walk down the road so I get 5 mins of peace.

I hope I've not managed to unintentionally make him sound like the devil incarnate in this post, I was just venting because I've had one of those days where he was annoying me as soon as he stepped through the door which I'm sure all couples have.

One sheet of kitchen roll wont block a toilet. It is paper and does disintegrate in time.
