Surprisef by how bereft I feel

Youngest just started school & I'm an emotional mess- need to get a grip! Really surprised how much of an 'end of an era' feeling has hit me - wasn't expecting it at all.
Aibu to ask you to tell me to get a bloody grip!!

I'm in the same boat. Quite a shock isn't it.

I had exactly the same experience this morning. Dropped dts at school and was hit by a tidal wave of sadness. Completely unexpected. It felt so huge to leave them there even though they have been to nursery and I have been looking forward to them going to school.'the lovely deputy head had to console me 😁 hope you are feeling better now x
