I used the phrase "I don't believe in woo" to DH not long ago when he tried to tell me some old ghost story. He said I wasn't speaking English, I told him the MN folk would understand.

i will often say stuff like 'on mums net you'd get flamed for that' or 'there was this woman on mumsnets who had the same problem/suggested' etc, it causes a lot of amusement and the dc/dh to say 'well what does mumsnet reckon then fuzzy ? better ask 'em !

When you type the letter "A" into Google...and the predictive search brings up "Aibu Mumsnet"

Anything you say to DH gets the response "did you read that on Mumsnet?".

When you're looking for the emoticon on texts/Messenger.

When you start applying everything you read on MN to your every day life.
When you apply other people's situations to your own and become a "serial projector".

When every little mundane thing in life turns into an AIBU thread:

AIBU to take an early lunch?

When you open a conversation with your DSis with 'Did you SEE mumsnet today?!' and she knows exactly what thread you're going to talk about
