To think driving schools could spread themselves about a bit

I live in a fairly wide, straight residential street with plenty of parking.

Consequently, all the local driving schools use it for practicing parallel parking and three point turns. I frequently have to wait for them to finish manouvering before I can get in or out of my drive, which I do patiently from a good distance so as not to put pressure on them, we were all learners once.

However, this summer I've noticed they also use it for emergency stops, so we have cars constantly coming up to speed (within the limit I expect) and then screeching to a halt. Honestly, while I've been mnetting relaxing this afternoon it's been constant, every 10 mins or so. There must be a queue of them at the end of the road.

AIBU to think they could spread themselves around a bit?

If you are on the test route, which it sounds like you are, then it's likely they are memorising it to help students pass. Annoying I know!

It will be a test route though? They have to practice on the routes that may arise in the test. My old Street was on the local driving test route. I definitely was never disturbed by emergency stops being performed.

No, not the test route, there's no testing centre in this town, we have to go to the ones either side.

This sounds like a complaint from my area haha, they've recently changed the test centre and route so there's a local estate's car park that driving instructors like to use for practice with parallel parking, 3 point turns and emergency stops.

The residents don't like it but there's nowhere else they can practice these manoeuvres before the test sadly!

Oh well that's just odd then lol!
