We have had about 4 gloriously warm/sunbathing weather days this summer where I live (on top of a mountain, in Wales, where even on a sunny day it's windy and freezing). On every single one of those days, my neighbour insists on banging about in his garden: chopping fences, building walls, banging ladders, drilling, hammering, etc etc.
He's one of these people who always has to be 'doing things' to the house.
AIBU to just want one peaceful afternoon when I can make the most of this gorgeously warm weather and snooze in the sunshine? It's impossible to relax out there at the moment!
Disclaimer: feeling extra miserable as this is the first year in a long time that we haven't gone abroad for a summer holiday.
