Women are always dropping out of plane or doing extreme sports and smiling their head off, like good for you ladies, but lets be honest, I am just looking to eat wispas and not bleed all over my pants hen.

And the scented towels? 'Now you can dance all over someone in a club and your lady garden can smell like pennies and flowers. Thanks always, just what I was going for, move out the way chanel, theres a new player in town.

YANBU at all. Not everyone wants to be halfway up a mountain looking triumphant whilst honking of Febreeze, and yet still they try to force us. It's a travesty.

There was a Body form one I saw last night that had FAR more detail than necessary!! I hate them.

YANBU - the adverts are so cringeworthy and shit.

I saw one yesterday about a female goal keeper with a voice over who made what sounded like some reference to sexism followed by the caption "Rewrite the Rules" then whizzing across the TV screen which is then shown to be the logo of the sanitary towel packet.

Just utter rubbish.

The "blue" period blood makes me cringe also

same with the discreet towels for 'sensitive bladder problems' - makes me cringe - it is not a sensitive bladder it is losing a bit of wee when you laugh or cough and comes with age mostly.

I cannot stand the one where the woman is busy being edgy and along comes Mother Nature to spoil her fun. I always think one day love you'll be bloody glad she turned up for you!

FurkinA I agree with you, the ads aren't my thing, they're twee, eye rollery but my 11 year old does. I think she'll be starting her periods very soon, she's sporty. We've talked about periods, towels, tampons, she has no embarrassment talking to me about her periods or body changes but she likes it when she sees a glossy person from a tv ad goalkeeping/doing gymnastics/ roller skating.

What about the yoghurt ones? Like it's an actual hobby for most women? There's that awful one 'Book club's better without the books' then they just eat yoghurt.

God I can't STAND that goalkeeper advert. Seriously, there is an issue about girls quitting sports in puberty but no, I'm not assuming anything about you because you're a woman and to assume that I am is not feminism, it's a persecution complex.

Agree about the yogurt, Jean. All these adverts depicting women 'indulgently treating themselves' to some sour-tasting low-fat slosh has put me off ever eating yogurt. So many assumptions are made. Women always think they are fat and want to lose weight, but they still want 'yummy treats' because they are basically children. Here, eat this cold, zero-calorie goo packed with artificial sweeteners and pretend it's ice cream, there's a good girl!

Pretty sure the scented ones cause thrush and they give off a funky smell after half hour makes me worry people think I'm unhygienic and know I'm on very embarrassing
