I'm 2 weeks from giving birth.
Can't go near a beach incase someone calls Greenpeace.
I have absolutely awful spd and I am in agony.
Aibu to spend my evenings sat in a sports bra and big knickers mums netting and watching utter shite on tv?
According to 'd'h a nice bubble bath painting nails all that girly shite will make me feel better but I'd rather sit here and eat Chinese or pizza!
Am I really being abnormal?

That's what I did last time!
This time I'm coping much better. But last time I was unable to walk by 30 weeks and we had. Heat wave so I spent 6 weeks sat in my pants infront of a fan eating chocolate digestives and watching loose women.

NorthernBird92 · 07/08/2016 23:10

I'm at the point where any weight bearing brings searing pain. So far it's just been achy pains but this is something else!
I'm praying it goes when dc is born or I may actually become a recluse

Yes and illegal too.

Go and paint your nails, have a bubble bath and do girly shite immediately.

On a different note, I thought your big knickers were made out of your mum's netting?? Grin

molyholy · 07/08/2016 23:11

Yadnbu!! Get your sports bra and big knicks on and chill. Tell your dh to do one. He probably thinks he is being helpful though.

UmbongoUnchained · 07/08/2016 23:12

Mine went pretty soon after but I still get the odd twinge. I can't run anymore and have to be careful on uneven ground else it really hurts.

littleshirleybeans · 07/08/2016 23:17

DS2 is now 8. I still have SPD. I feel your pain.
Chill out and do whatever makes you feel ok!!!

I can't even reach or see my toenails to be honest! And I'm pretty sure if I get in the bath the water will get out!
Do u think I could not wear a bra again till after dc is born?
Sports bra day to day under a top, cardigan if nipples start to show?

If you've got a balance ball, don't let dp invite mate round to watch footie while you're beached on it in comfy bra and big nixs

NorthernBird92 · 07/08/2016 23:29

Umbongo I'm so glad urs feels better ..
Littleshirley I've only had it a few months and I'm at not coping point I take my hat off to you!
Jayho will bare that in mind! 😊

Is he offering to paint your toes for you ? Get him to throw in a foot massage too.

VioletBam · 07/08/2016 23:41

Why on earth would a man suggest those things? Unless you stank or he was gay?

My DH has no idea about nails or what they make me feel like. And to suggest that to a pregnant woman is just weird!

DietCockBreak · 07/08/2016 23:42

Bloody hell, you're still wearing a bra? Noooo. Get rid of it, and bunch up the duvet and pillows on the sofa to be more comfy, and surround yourself with snacks so you don't have to move.

Thingvellir · 07/08/2016 23:44

I made DH paint my toenails for me in late stages of pregnancy. He got quite good at it Wink

CoolioAndTheGang · 07/08/2016 23:47

Yanbu. I remember it well, it was a miserable time in my pregnancies. Get him to give you massage or send him out to get some junk food.

trafalgargal · 07/08/2016 23:52

Really violet?
My OH is a burly manual worker and is more than happy to run me a bubble bath or paint my toe nails for me . He just likes pampering me. (You don't have to stink or have a gay partner to be pampered by them. You are sooooo funny)

NorthernBird92 · 07/08/2016 23:57

He attempted them the other night and got more around the toe than on the toe but points for trying I suppose!
And no violet defo not gay the stinking part I'm not 100% on but I'm guessing he's trying to get me to 'relax and pamper'....

Thankyou for the support I feel it is now completely reasonable to go bra less and slob for the next two weeks!
And eat cake lots of cake

AcrossthePond55 · 08/08/2016 00:05

Tell him to take the friggin' bubble bath and paint his own damn toenails. Next you know he'll be telling you to book a spa day!!!

Bra, knickers, and takeaway is on the menu for me when DH is away. And I'm not even pregnant.

enchantmentandlove · 08/08/2016 03:24

I wouldn't even wear the bra to be honest! Since dd was born a few months ago I constantly have to wear one because of the milk, oh how I miss being bra-free!

Sephipops · 08/08/2016 03:34

I'm trying to remember how many times I left the sofa in my last few weeks. Pizza and Chinese sounds perfect. If he wants to help then he can go get you cups of tea and deliver them to where you are beached.

Rockelburger · 08/08/2016 03:47

My baby is 11 weeks old and I'm still wearing sports bras and big knickers Grin

You are literally growing a human being, do whatever you need to feel comfy. Men will never get it

NorthernBird92 · 08/08/2016 09:43

I feel I have found my people!

Thefitfatty · 08/08/2016 09:48

I would go to the beach. I spent the last few weeks of my pregnancy floating in a nice chill pool. Was the only thing that helped with the SPD and how uncomfortable I was.
