Last week in France a group of muslims attacked a bus full of people with a bomb, it appears that the authorities and media have failed to report on it which in the current climate is really strange, the video of a group of muslims attacking a bus full of people with an bomb went viral on social media and it appears the media are only now reluctantly reporting on it?!?!? Is this the new normal for Europe?

I think the media is covering it up to prevent mass hysteria and keep a lid on backlash.

Why don't the media hide any other attacks on Europe then? It makes no sense that it's a cover up.

From what I've read it's not a 'terrorist attack'. It's a small scale riot in response to a death in police custody.

No idea if that is staged or real, or if real - why not reported.

BUT, I tend to think that such terrorists thrive on the publicity - and by reporting such things we give them just what they want. I would far prefer there was a blanket ban on reporting of these things, and the ISIS videos of them killing people. If we don't feed them, maybe they will stop doing them .

Sad thing is it's an escalation of the burning cars thing that's been going on for years in France. It's the frog in the pan of water in this case I think rather than a cover up.

They don't want to give terrorist what they want: fame. After all, what they want is to terrorise people and this is achieved through publicity and fame.

Burning vehicles is pretty much a national pastime here in France - either by bored youths or as a protest. I live in a very sleepy French village outside of Paris and only last week we had a vehicle burnt out near us and it's by no means the first.

Why hasn't there been an outcry at the killing of 19 disabled people by one man in Japan either? Not reported anywhere. Biggest mass killing in Japan for decades but no hashtag trending etc.

The killings in Japan were the top story on the guardian for quite a long time.
