Soft Play Rage!

AIBU to think parents should be responsible for their kids at soft play?

I'm sure others have posted on this before but is it really up to me to stop your 2,3,4 or bloody 7 year old trampling my baby in the baby area?!!

With a 2 year old and a 7 month old I've completely ruled out soft play for duration of the summer to avoid braining the next mother that thinks her cuppa is more important than my babies eyes, limbs, future cognitive functions....

I hate soft play in the holidays. It's bloody mayhem! We only ever go in term time, when we are one of only two or three families there. It's lovely then. It's the same with other places during the holidays, the park is hard work as my two (2 and 4, both small for their ages) just get pushed around or trampled in the play areas, and don't even get me started on swimming. Why teenagers feel the need to splash about in the toddler pool is beyond me. Six weeks is a long time to entertain littlies when our regular weekday haunts get hijacked by the older children.

People go to soft play to let their kids run riot and give the time to look at their phones or read the paper. The whole point is to NOT deal with their DCs.

Don't take your DC until you are in the position to do the above.

My 5 year old sneaks off to the under 4s to deal with his Lego withdrawal symptoms as they have large building blocks that he can't resist.

My then 2 year old was once caught on the 2nd storey on outside of the main play frame having climbed up the nets like a cargo net.

I don't take them to soft play often, my nerves can't handle it.

I favour large expanses of the outdoors where there's few people for them to show me up to
