Just because you send a text to me, it doesn't mean I will read it instantly.

Just because I read your text, it doesn't mean I wll regard it as urgent or important or act on it instantly.

If it's urgent or important use the text machine to speak to me.

"But I sent you a text." is not a viable excuse or reason.

And, of course, texts aren't guaranteed to get through anyway ...

This can also ring true with FB chat, pisses me off when people expect an answer right away.
