To make 9 year old go to bed early so I can

DP is out tonight will be after 11 before he gets home, 9 year old usually goes to sleep at 10 on holidays but I can't stay awake I'm 35 weeks pg we have had a full day of fun swimming playing out etc I'm just so tired.

AIBU to tell her sorry but it's bedtime? If I go to sleep and leave her up she will almost 100% stay up until dp gets home then be tired and grumpy tomorrow. She promises she will go to sleep at 10 if I leave her I'm tempted to let her then give her conciquences tomorrow if she doesn't.

I'd say 10 is really late for a 9 year old....
My 14 year old goes to bed at 10!

It's not much earlier than 10, I'd put her to bed and let her read or something till she falls asleep/DP gets home.

Why not get ready for bed together and then go and both chill out on your bed and read until her actual bedtime? I do this with DD and although she's younger she gets sleepy.
