Not an AIBU. Apologies.

Suggestions on what to buy my 9 yr old nephew who has ADD.

Why not ask what he's into? Is he a reader, or into certain programmes, outdoors-y? What is the significance of the ADD?

Not meant in any awful way to you OP, just in general..

I don't get this mentality of what to do/get for ADD/AUT/SEN..

Why treat them different.

My Nephew has Autism (Aspergers) and it never crosses my mind when coming to gifts, I try to get what I know he will like/what he asks for.

No recommendations sorry.

My 9 year olds love to choose themselves. Gift card with a note explaining that you want him/her to choose something special that really makes them happy.

Find out what he likes. I also don't think the fact he has ADD is relevant.

I agree with the others. My son is autistic and what he would like as a present is probably very different to what another child the same age - with or without autism - would like!

Either ask him or his parents or if not sure can you not give money so he can buy what he wants?
