Am I the only one who didn't know this? It's out in September apparently.

I'm going to sit here (being unreasonable as it's AIBU?) waiting for other JC fans to come hither and chat Jilly with me.

I used to love Jilly Cooper but the books are a bit dated. I hope she has written about strong career women refusing to bend over (ha ha, see what I did there?) for a man ...

LadyTrevelyan · 20/07/2016 22:10

Just finished Riders and now onto Rivals. Very happySmile.

But I didn't like the last book and can't remember even what it was called but I will have to try Mount.

CallMeMousie · 20/07/2016 22:12

I always dream they'll recapture the heady days of Riders and Rivals (but bar the iffy bits) and they always disappoint. But of course I'll be buying and reading it anyway!

MrSlant · 20/07/2016 22:13

Well I say down on all her nonsense about women being massively obese if they are over 9 stone and men being the boss, ridiculous novels, absolute drivel, wouldn't be seen dead with one.

Seriously? A new one with R C-B? Oh SQUEEEEeeeeeeeeeee

Doobydoo · 20/07/2016 22:14

Huzzah.Bowt time.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 20/07/2016 22:17

Looking forward to it. She'd better not make Rupert and Taggie split up though...

CalmItKermitt · 20/07/2016 22:31

I'll be devastated if Rupert and Taggie split 😟😟😟

LadyTrevelyan · 20/07/2016 22:37

So, Rupert is a fine specimen in Rivals but how old will he be in Mount?

Oh, Jilly's world was so glamorous and racey and pissed.

I could live like that, very easily.

Fishcake72 · 20/07/2016 22:39

I love her!!!!! I love RCB!!!!!

LadyTrevelyan · 20/07/2016 22:39

're: Rupert's age. I just need to imagine him but keep coming up Michael HeseltineConfused.

PageStillNotFound404 · 20/07/2016 22:41

Despite being quite horsey, Rivals was always my favourite. Wasn't so keen on the last couple - the racing one with the ditsy heroine who couldn't have been more of a Mary Sue if she'd tried, and the school one with all the underage sex/borderline paedophile schoolmaster. Let's hope this one is a return to form.

Fishcake72 · 20/07/2016 22:42

I love her!!!!! I love RCB!!!!!

VanillaSugar · 20/07/2016 23:04

What's the age gap between Rupes and Taggie again? Remind me......😨

Wibblewobble100 · 20/07/2016 23:09

Hhhmmmmm haven't read them for at least 15 years...... Might have to read them again!

Becles · 20/07/2016 23:16

Happy days

OnlyTheDepthVaries · 21/07/2016 08:07

If R C-B is going to be aged I will imagine him as Robert Redford - still blond but craggy!
Can't wait for new book - even the title is exciting!!! I loved Riders and Rivals...and like most other posters here felt that the other later books were never as good.I shall re-read Riders just to get me back in the zone before September..

Jinglebellsarenearlyhere · 21/07/2016 08:34

I wanted to call my DD Taggie as a homage but DH said no. So I secretly chose my favourite sex in the city character without him knowing!

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 21/07/2016 08:38

Robert Redford isn't a bad shout if Rupert has been aged. Or maybe RR without the craggy sun damage, one of the characters - Cameron? - described Rupert as far more American looking than English.

Diamogs · 21/07/2016 09:04

According to this: www.telegraph.co.uk/news/celebritynews/12175173/Jilly-Cooper-bounces-back-from-PC-row-with-new-book-starring-Rupert-Campbell-Black-at-60.html

Rupert is supposed to be 60.

Vanilla Taggie was 19 years younger so would be pushing 40.

I'm thinking along these lines:
