Just been to asda.

As I was leaving I saw that the bus was in 3 mins so sped up and overtook a man going relatively slowly with a trolley to get to the door

The trolley then rammed into my ankle as I got to the exit - not sure how as I had a good two feet on him by this point, was bloody painful and I shouted 'ow'. He said 'SORRYYY' in the way a teenager would when forced to apologise.

I was still in pain (it was that sudden, toe stubbing kind of pain) so had stopped to look at my ankle and then he shouted 'YOU CUT ME UP!' I flounced off in a rage.

Aibu or was he a twat?

Twat

JackieAndHyde4eva · 16/07/2016 17:28

Of course he was a twat even if you did cut him up! You dont physically hurt anyone. Ever unless in self defence. Are we really in a world where people dont know that? He physically and deliberately hurt you in an act of anger. How could anyone be in any doubt about his behaviour?

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 16/07/2016 17:29

Thanks Mum (are you my mum?) I'm now on the bus and still enraged.

He didn't even stop to see if I was okay, just shouted over his shoulder on the way to the cash point. It was a hit and run!

Jackie I don't actually know that he did it on purpose. That would be undeniably U. It seems likely, though

JackieAndHyde4eva · 16/07/2016 17:32

I don't actually know that he did it on purpose.

Come on now, yes you do. Or are now going to minimise and justify it? Because i'm not up for that. Not in the mood today.

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 16/07/2016 17:33

Eh?! Why would I minimise and justify a complete stranger's behaviour? I genuinely don't know if it was intentional because I couldn't see as he was behind me

Jesus

No not your mum Rosie but can foster you for the duration of your bus ride Wink

He is a twat and a coward and I would hate to see him in a vehicle! Basically an ignorant bully. Doubt he'd have rammed into a big hairy builder type!

XanaduBubbles · 16/07/2016 17:34

Definite trolley twat

JackieAndHyde4eva · 16/07/2016 17:35

Why would I minimise and justify a complete stranger's behaviour?

I dont know, but you did.

Or

Because thats what women do when a man assaults them.

Mumteedum · 16/07/2016 17:35

Haha trolley twat! Grin.

Timeforabiscuit · 16/07/2016 17:35

Because your making an excuse for his behaviour even though you know full well a reasonable human being would have been mortified.

He did on purpose

Hes a fucking twat.

WorraLiberty · 16/07/2016 17:36

Bloody hell Jackie

There is no evidence to suggest he did or didn't do it on purpose.

He physically and deliberately hurt you in an act of anger. How could anyone be in any doubt about his behaviour?

You sound like Judge Rinder Grin

Sn0tnose · 16/07/2016 17:37

If you had barged in front of him, then I can see how he'd be annoyed, but a simple 'Oi' would do. You don't go round bashing people with trolleys just because they annoy you or Asda would be like Robot Wars!

I think I'd have thrown eggs at him.

angryangryyoungwoman · 16/07/2016 17:37

Are you OK Jackie? You sound a bit stressed Flowers

JackieAndHyde4eva · 16/07/2016 17:38

Oh ok it was pure coincidence. As you were. You were clearly BU then OP

(Is that the right answer? Which answer works for you? because I dont fucking know anymore!)

JackieAndHyde4eva · 16/07/2016 17:39

I'm perfectly angry angryangryyoungwoman. Looks like i'm not allowed to be though Confused

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 16/07/2016 17:41

Bloooody hell

All I said was that I don't know if he absolutely definitely did do it on purpose. The evidence is there but as I didn't see him do a gleeful run up i can't resolutely say he did

I was just wondering if I was being unreasonable to be so annoyed, really. Probably should have worded the title/op as such but I was still in a fit of pique

You don't know that either.

All anyone knows, is that the man was rude after the event.

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 16/07/2016 17:42

Time you're right, kinda. If I'd done that to someone I'd be mortified so in just finding it hard to believe he actually acted like that

OP posts:
MrsHathaway · 16/07/2016 17:43

If he hadn't done it on purpose he wouldn't have yelled justification afterwards.

So, twat.

Supermarkets at the weekend are like the fucking Hunger Games, mind you.

Amy214 · 16/07/2016 17:43

Your not exactly driving a car on the road so how did you 'cut him up' should everyone walk the same speed in the aisles? 😂 he's a massive bully and i would hate to see him driving a car.

RosieWithTheGoodHair · 16/07/2016 17:43

Just guffawed on bus at Judge Rinder, Worra

OP posts:
2ManySweets · 16/07/2016 17:44

Man was being an ultratwat.

Hope you see him again soon to return the favour to both of his ankles

WorraLiberty · 16/07/2016 17:44

YANBU though OP.

He definitely sounds like a twat.

Even if he felt you caused the accident, he could still have said sorry in an adult way.

StarryIllusion · 16/07/2016 17:51

I'd have followed him to the cash point and rammed him in the bollocks. But that's just me aggressive bitch
