Talk me through this one. I see it tagged to all sorts. Is it supposed to be empowering or is it a bit twee.

Tagged to all sorts of what?

I have never heard of it.

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 16:53

Hash tags plus lots of gift items

Is it a FL/Younique/other MLM shite thing?

Tiggeryoubastard · 11/07/2016 16:54

Never heard it. Do you mean the sort of shite that has 'princess' on it?

Peeporeader · 11/07/2016 16:55

Yeah it's a MLM thing.

Detailsoverleaf · 11/07/2016 16:55

One of my Facebook friends runs her own business and often puts #girlboss at the end of her status.

You'd never get a man writing "love being my own boss blah blah blah #manboss " would you?!

It's the opposite of empowering in my mind.

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 16:56

Details - good, that's what I was thinking but was keeping an open mind.
I've been a boss in various jobs. Never felt the need to label it because I am a girl. Gasp

I've only ever seen this hashtagged onto some MLM shite 'inspirational' meme, which is meant to be empowering, but actually these type of companies just seem to target vulnerable women.

ForeverYazoonique · 11/07/2016 16:58

You can also be a #bossbabe Hmm

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 16:58

I don't do FB so I escape the mlm fluff but it's tagged on to some quite nice gift stuff I follow on Instagram

OP posts:
Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 16:59

Omg. Bossbabe!!! Weeps

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 11/07/2016 16:59

Or #boyboss Details, which is the equivalent.

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 17:01

I might insist dp tags one of his FB statues which are generally about roofing with #boyboss.

See this is how it warps your mind Grin

If you've been a boss in various jobs, then I'm going to assume you're not a girl anyway. You'll be a woman?

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 17:31

I might stick with girl. Woman has been high jacked

This reminds me of bloody Tulisa Whatserface, and her 'The Female Boss' tattoo - she said it's her nickname.

Tulisa, NOBODY calls you The Female Boss. Not even your mum.

WorraLiberty · 11/07/2016 17:40

You can stick with mountain goat if it suits you but it doesn't make it true Grin

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 17:42

Beauty - Jesus wept that's cringey

BeautyGoesToBenidorm · 11/07/2016 17:46

Clara, it made my arse clench. If I remember rightly, she did a perfume of the same name - maybe marketed at the #girlbosses? Wink

Claraoswald36 · 11/07/2016 18:46

It made me puke. It's that neo feminist thing isn't it when e writhing goes backwards :-(
