Footner in pregnancy?! Please help!

Sorry everyone - posting here for traffic as have managed to wind myself up!

I'm due to give birth next Wednesday and was going to apply footner today - just casually checked if it was safe during pregnancy and everywhere is saying no

  • but I'm fairly sure I used it around 4/5 months ago, earlier this pregnancy - I feel like such a prat!

Can anyone advise if they did this?

It seems to be just the pregnant mother having sensitive skin that's the problem but I'm now panicking that I've harmed my baby!

Any experience of this or knowledge would help a lot!

What the hell is a footner?!

It's chemical exfoliant stuff you put on your feet and it makes dead skin peel off

I'm 38 weeks and am going to have a foot peel this week - I specifically asked if it would be OK being pregnant and was told it would be fine! I've now got to book it :)

I used it. It won't harm the baby at all, it's only because your skin gets more sensitive when you're pregnant, so they can't recommend it. Nine month old DS is tearing up my living room as I type.

Thanks for your replies everyone! Good to have some reassurance - managed to get myself completely stressed out!

I used it at 22 weeks and planning to use it again next week at 35 weeks. It's supposed to be fine!
