Considering one but OMG how much??? Are they worth it THAT much over any other brand?

Anyone have any cheaper recommendations?

Also I don't have wifi... Do I need it to use one??

why would you need an air purifier?

londonrach · 09/07/2016 17:14

Whats an air purifier?

acasualobserver · 09/07/2016 18:39

This is probably a bit 'out there' but I'm going to guess that it's a machine for purifying air.

I've had mine for a few weeks now.
I was looking to replace a 3M air purifier that had died on me after a good few years.
Wasn't set on the Dyson but saw it & had a play about with it in a Curry's shop. The lower levels are almost silent. Easily able to have it on overnight, worth it's weight in gold to me at my delightful hot flush age.
You don't need wifi, can operate with the remote. The app is worth having but not essential. There is no CADR rating, not all air goes through the filter. Read reviews & see what you think.

I love the fan & the air purifier is a good addition.

Slightly cheaper here:
dyson

Air purifiers are noisy usually, having done loads of research if I didn't covet the fan ability of the Dyson I would have opted for one of these :

Blueair

The Dyson is one of those purchases I decided I'd never tell anyone what I paid for it!

ModernContinental · 09/07/2016 19:27

Meant to add, the Dyson comes with a two year guarantee.

Thank you ModernContinental that's all super helpful

I want one because of allergies and mild concern over pollution but we actually need a fan/heater so combining the two if I can ever justify the cost seems ideal, wondered if it was similar to the dyson vacs - of course a £30 Argos cheapie does the job however the cordless ones are quite a revelation
