I've been invited for an interview next Wednesday. The job is very similar to the one I do now - same money but much closer to home so would save me over an hour each day commuting. I think I have a good chance at being successful based on what they want and what I've got.
It's a large department and my step-MIL works there (in what would be a much lower position). Her and FIL are currently in process of separating and when they do we will have NC with step-MIL (she's been a cow toward by DH since he was a kid). She has an issue I've applied for the job and even more-so that I've been shortlisted (I haven't actually told her - she told FIL including telling him how much I earn from my application form who told my DH as she has access to the information breach of data protection.
An opportunity for a job that pays the same as I currently earn so close to home is unlikely to come again for years (I've been waiting 2 years for a job at this particular place to come up!). I don't particularly care about the split or how she feels she cheated but DH thinks it will make things messy and awkward. I think I'm perfectly capable of being professional at work and if she feels awkward it's not my problem.
WIBU to still go for the interview?
