What is an average shoe size for a 3.5y old boy?
My DS just got measured again in Clarks and he's 11! I was shocked! He is tall too, so not a mickey mouse exactly Smile

If your kid's shoe size is 11 how old are they?

Ds is 6 and a size 11

Afreshstartplease · 25/06/2016 14:58

My 3 year old is a 7

My 7 year old is a 12

TooTweeOrNotTooTwee · 25/06/2016 15:00

DS is 2 and a bit years old and a 6.5.

notfornothing · 25/06/2016 15:00

I'm starting to think at this rate my DS will be bigger than me by the time he goes to school Shock

My DD is 7 at the end of September and is a size 11

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 25/06/2016 15:04

OP my DS was precisely the same. He is 4.5 now and takes a 12. He is very tall....was always 99.6 on the centile range. I love it though. I am tall and thoroughly enjoy it so feel sure he will be the same.

misspym · 25/06/2016 15:06

My dd is an 11. She is 7.5.

Cheby · 25/06/2016 15:06

DD has just turned 3, her feet are a 9 and have been for a while, so I guess she will be at least a 10 by aged 3.5 (and she's a girl, girls have smaller feet I think?).

So doesn't sound abnormally massive to me, at least, but it's probably all relative. DD is tall as well, but that's to be expected, both DH and I are tall, I wear size 8 EEE shoes, DH is a 12.

dementedpixie · 25/06/2016 15:07

My 9 year old ds has adult size 5 feet now! Dd(12) is around adult size 5/6. I have size 7 feet and dh is size 8

Cheby · 25/06/2016 15:07

Haha just read the responses, maybe both our kids do just have massive feet OP! Grin

Cheerybigbottom · 25/06/2016 15:08

My son turned four in Jan and has a size 11 shoe, he has always been a head taller than his peers but they are catching up. I think growth might slow down a wee bit now. Or maybe I'm just hoping Hmm

Jacksterbear · 25/06/2016 15:09

My DS was in that shoe size at about that age. He's now 9yo and wears the same size shoes as me (5).

My nearly 6yo DD is currently a size 11.

Fuckthisforausername · 25/06/2016 15:14

DS is nearly four and is a 9.5, he's got big feet but not enormous. I'd say 11 is on the big side but perfectly within normal. Maybe he'll be tall.

imsorryiasked · 25/06/2016 15:31

DS is average height age 7 and about to go into adult size 2!

Minisoksmakehardwork · 25/06/2016 15:35

My just turned 4yo, perfectly average height for her age has hobbit feet at an 11. Her twin brother is a 9.

DangerousBeanz · 25/06/2016 16:00

DD is 6 and a size 11.

AdoraKiora · 25/06/2016 16:06

Are you tall?

Both my DC have big feet, but are tall (me & DH tall, too).

My Year 6 DS is 5 ft 8 ins tall and has adult size 10 feet Shock. He had size 12 feet at that age, I think.

BikeRunSki · 25/06/2016 16:24

Both my DC were 11-11.5 at 3.5-4. I have size 9 feet though.

NeedACleverNN · 25/06/2016 16:26

My 3 year old Dd is a dink....she's just turned 5.5 after a year in a 4!

NeedACleverNN · 25/06/2016 16:26

Oh and that's toddler size obviously

Loulou0 · 25/06/2016 16:34

Same here Op, my DS is 3 and a half and an 11G. He is massive. At nursery, when he's surrounded by other kids his age , it looks like something from Gulliver's Travels.

notfornothing · 25/06/2016 17:34

I'm not supertall, about 5'10'', DH is 6'6'' though, and most shops don't sell his shoe size.
I'm slightly worried that DS will grow to be even bigger.
But good to know there are other little giants out there Smile

He wears clothes size 6-7y, i'm used to comments on his size when people learn his age...

Do you think it will be an advantage in school (sports?, protection against bullying?) or a reason to be singled out?

OP posts:
NeedACleverNN · 25/06/2016 17:48

Depends on the average. He may be about the same size as every other child and the few that are different are small..

UnhappyMeal · 25/06/2016 17:52

My daughter is 7 and has size 2.5 feet. My feet are Size 9 so she's obviously inherited my bigfoot genes. On the plus size, she'll get to inherit my shoe collection of ridiculously high heels that are too high for me to contemplate wearing these days!

WannaBeAWarhol · 25/06/2016 18:01

DS1 is 6 and a size 11, DS2 is 20 months and a size 7! Can see him catching DS1 up!
