annoyed by mothers decision making

So got into a bit of a disagreement yday with my mother as she announced she will vote leave (which is ok if that's what she actually believes) but is doing so because her manager at work suggested everyone should vote remain!
Surely she is old enough to go and make her own mind up and not just go and vote to annoy her manager!

Your vote is a bit like your own money: you can spend it how you want.

Part of me feels the same as you. And then another part of me remembers that the reason David Beckham (and others) has announced how they are going to vote is to try to influence people. I'm not sure voting to annoy your boss is any worse than voting a certain way because David Beckham does.
