Posting here for traffic as I've hunted high and low for this.

Last year at the Ideal a Home exhibition at Olympia I saw a stand that sold wavy glass wall art but I can't find what I'm after now.

This is the kind of thing I'm after but I don't want to pay a fortune- can anyone help me please

There is a gallery in St Ives that sells it. Not £££££ at all we bought 2 bits and they shipped it to us.

I'll search out a name.

Bearbehind · 17/06/2016 19:39

Yay- thank you so much.

Google fused glass artist with your area then ring them for a studio visit. Buying straight from artist might cut out gallery mark up and be a bit more affordable.

There is a marvellous shop in Trentham Village that does exactly what you are looking for
Think they will also do commissioned pieces but they have an excellent range in store
Have bought several pieces from them and mirrors as well
Not cheap but really lovely

Bearbehind · 17/06/2016 19:42

I'm happy to pay a few hundred pounds just not a few thousand which everything I've found is.

Any names or websites would be greatly appreciated.

It's called Glazed Art

CurlsLDN · 17/06/2016 19:43

Have you looked at jo downs? jodowns.com/products/list/hangings/wave-hanging

SealSong · 17/06/2016 19:43

Yes buy straight from the artist. They lose a huge cut to galleries.

baffledmummy · 17/06/2016 19:46

I got a lovely piece commissioned from an artist called Kim merriman....she is based in Washington state so shipping costs on top of you live in uk but she does lovely pieces.

BestIsWest · 17/06/2016 19:48

I can recommend goodhand glass.

2madboys · 17/06/2016 19:49

I was also going to say Jo Downs. Don't really know her but she went to the same school as me and I saw a link to her stuff on Facebook yesterday. Looks amazing!

smileyfacestar · 17/06/2016 19:56

Jo Downs' work is amazing. So many different pieces to choose from. She has a galllery near us. I covet so much of her work

GherkinsOnToast · 17/06/2016 19:59

Jo Downs is who we bought from in St Ives.

CleanHankie · 17/06/2016 20:11

Try Kookaburru Glass m.facebook.com/KookaburraGlassArt/
I have some glass coasters which are gorgeous.

glueandstick · 17/06/2016 20:31

I was also going to say Jo Downs. Love her stuff.

whostolethesocks · 17/06/2016 20:35

Jo Downs or Carrie Anne Funnell www.carrieannefunnell.co.uk/

Bearbehind · 17/06/2016 20:36

Thanks guys- have looked at Jo Downs but her stuff doesn't seem big enough.

Each of the panels in the photo I posted is about 1ft by 3ft so they're pretty big and I want something that is in 3 panels but go together IYSWIM.

Contact jo downs- we visited her studio/ factory and they do commissions..

LunaLoveg00d · 17/06/2016 21:19

Yes another vote for Jo Downs, got one of her glass wishsticks in her little gallery/shop in Fowey last summer and it's lovely. Some of her larger pieces are absolutely stunning.

I saw some art like this at this ideal home show in Manchester recently, worth changing their website?
