I've been trying since yesterday to make a Father's Day order of one of those fruity bouquets to my dad. I've used a local independent business before and have been very happy with the results. I texted the main number yesterday asking if they were able to deliver for Father's Day and apologising for the short notice and got a reply almost immediately saying yes and requesting that I text the order. I did so and asked whether I should call to make the payment. There's no facility to pay online. No reply.

I call this morning and it rings out, leave a voicemail. Try emailing, the email bounces back. Try calling again, no reply.

Should I keep trying? It's a mobile number as listed on the website. I don't want to harass the business owner but similarly in running out of time.

WWYD?

Can you not physically go to the shop?

coralpig · 17/06/2016 13:09

I'm afraid I can't. I live on the other end of the country, the premises are exactly 2 streets away from my parents.

I'd go elsewhere tbh - she sounds over stretched and I'd be worried she'd cock up the order.

Send a text explaining you really want the order and are concerned about making the payment so could they let you asap. If you wont hear back within an hour text back to cancel the order

Stellars · 17/06/2016 21:36

If I couldn't get in touch with her to place the order then I certainly wouldn't be throwing any money her way.

It's probably a mumsnetter who never answers the phone on principle. Grin

beetroot2 · 17/06/2016 21:40

I'd go on line and do an inter flora, much easier.

Fruity bouquets are quite niche so presumably this is the only local retailer.
