Dropped my iphone in the toilet, remembered something about putting it in rice, couldn't find rice, panicked, found cous-cous, that's basically the same thing, right ?

Now i have soggy toilet water cous-cous in all the little holes ! Fuck!

On the upside I dropped my iPhone in the loo and thought I'd killed it. I took it apart and dried it out as much as poss then left it near (not on obvs) the radiator overnight and it dried it a treat and came back to life.

Don't do anything else. Get some rice (it does work) or try the pound shops, they sell a rescue bag with silicone chips in that works in the same way. Get it dried out then use a bottle of air duster to clean the holes.

I'm with Tescos. I pay £7.50 pcm. My poor phones been dropped stood on. You name it. It's happened. Yet its still going strong.

I've now used the hair drier until i realised i was probably cooking the toilet water cous cous , so switched to cool.
Finally read some instructions online and now it's just air drying for the next 23h then will see if it works.....
So annoyed with myself! I have previously dropped it next to the toilet from my jeans backpocket, then thought to myself i must stop putting it there.
Clearly i don't really listen to myself!

Mine's been in the toilet and survived the experience. Just leave it to dry out and see how it goes. Sort out the cous cous mess once it's dry. Good luck!

Try leaving it in the airing cupboard - once dry, hopefully the grains will fall out.
