To report against dds wishes

Dd has had an horrendous school year due to bullying including threats with a weapon..

School have been worse than useless

Dd has a new place elsewhere in September but wants to do her last few weeks to say bye to her friends and two trips and end of year party.

Dd had reported being pelted with stones and as a result the child responsible has got her much older friend to threaten to 'twat' dd

For clarification dd is 13, with sen and tiny. Around 5 ft 1 and 6 stone

This other girl is nearly 15, 5 ft 8 ish (she lives locally) and very stocky.

Dd doesnt want me to report as she has to walk home the same way as them and she doesn't want to spend her last days there being scared.

But shes scared anyway and i am sick to death of them getting away with it.

Your poor daughter. I would report but I just wanted to say I hope she is safe and happy in her new school.

I wonder if there is a compromise where you could arrange with the school for her to take part in the trips and the party, but she doesn't actually attend for these last few weeks.

However, I also agree with the others that this should be a police matter now.

I hope whatever happens she is happy at her new school.

Yes, police! It's assault, and if the school have been useless about bullying actually on the premises, I doubt you'll have much luck with anything happening outside.

Thanks ilovesooty. New school is much smaller. 300 versus 1500. Head is aware of full story and strict with bullying.

We live on the route home but dd lives further away.New school is in a completely different town and no one locally goes. Bus goes from outside our house so not worried about that so much.

School police officer already involved following previous incidents. He is great actually.

If it was me i would pull her out tomorrow tbh but she doesn't see why she should miss out on seaside trip, theme park etc with her friends cause of them.

I would defiantly report to the school, or school police officer.

why should that nasty little child get away with it? At 15 she should certainly know better, if my DD grew up to behave in such a way I would be very angry.

Is there any way you or somebody could meet her from school until she leaves?

I would be very tempted to keep her off from now until she starts he new school, and arrange a day out for the start of the holidays With her friends.

If you were stoned out of work by work colleagues would you report to your manager? No you'd be reporting to the police! Why is this different?

Yes, report to police. The bully needs to understand she can't behave like this.

I think you need to call the police but at the same time you need to get your dd to see why this the right thing to do.

Complain formally again to school, note with police and start picking up dd from the gate of school

The bully could well start on some other poor child in future. This behaviour needs to be on record, please report it.
