to ask for a divan bed base that goes round corners!

Not sure where to ask this so posting here for traffic. We live in a cottage with a narrow windy staircase and need to get a single divan bed base that comes in two parts so we can get it up the stairs. Regular single divan base we've just bought won't go up! Anybody know a brand that does this? Online searching hasn't helped. Hoping for the wisdom of MN...

does it have to be divan? Can you not get slat based bed and put storage under?

The room itself is big enough for a double or kingsize bed. Our plan is have two single divans that can be twin beds or joined together as a double bed depending on who is staying. I don't think we can do that unless they're divans? We already have the two new single mattresses from a friend who no longer needs them so we just need bases.

My next mattress were brilliant when we bought our last bed. A super king divan than came in 2 parts and then wouldn't fit through the front door so I phoned them and they arranged for the Base to be split into 4. (Basically what you are after)

I can't recommend them enough

And the new bed is divine. So so much more comfy than my old ikea frame.
