there have been some nasty pieces of work on mumsnet recently from the male gender, most men are good people, loving and caring, treat their families as they should be then there are the complete shits and wastes of space.
why do some women put up with total shit or think any man is better than being on their own. it's so sad in this day and age that some women have to be in constant relationships even if it damages them and their dc. [am a survivor of drunk/abusive exh]

I think MN is pretty good at helping people understand that they can, and should, get out of bad relationships.

yes, i agree but there are many women on here, talking about toxic relationships, and some of them come back several times with the same problems, it spirals. does anyone one need to be 'advised' that their relationship is bad if their dp/h beats them up, cheats etc? oh, but he loves the kids, yeah and your point is ? better to stand alone and be strong for your kids and self respect for yourself.

Yes there seems to have been quite a few. All sorts of reasons probably, some people just can't function unless they are in a relationship as they fear being on their own so much, unfortunately these are the type of people who do seem to end up making the wrong choices.

I put up with an abusive man for years, my sister who encouraged me to leave is now herself with a twat of a man. I agree lot women stay because they are afraid of being alone and love is blind.
