Does anyone have arthritis? Have a look at this.

Twig45 · 18/05/2016 21:21

Looks like meloxicam an anti inflammatory why?

Cutecat78 · 18/05/2016 21:21

Do you need to know tonight?

You can take it to a chemist and the pharmacist may be able to identify it - they have databases for that kind of thing.

MartinRohdesBellybuttonFluff · 18/05/2016 21:23

I just googled the image, it could be an anti-inflammatory called Meloxicam 15?

WeMustSurelyBeLearning · 18/05/2016 21:23

Google says maybe Meloxicam 15

Cutecat78 · 18/05/2016 21:28

Hmm my son came home drunk a week or so ago and I put him to bed and he wanted "his pill" I found this in his coat pocket in a little plastic drugs bag.

Hope he didn't pay a shed load for it Grin

Nothing on the other side? It sort of looks like Adderall.

Crumblevision · 18/05/2016 21:40

DM has just been prescribed Meloxicam for arthritis. It's a pretty heavy duty NSAID. I'd be having a chat with your son and finding out how often he takes his "pill" and if he knows of the purpose. I'm sure you don't need to hear the rest from me suffice to say I'd being going nuclear

Cutecat78 · 18/05/2016 21:45

He's 18 - I was a drugs worker for years - he's heard it all from me.

I am annoyed he would be so stupid as to take something he had bought off someone which he did not know what it was but tbh I was "happier" it looked like a prescription drug rather than an illicit drug as was less likely to do him harm.

I worry more about them going out and getting pissed tbh and all those shenanigans- they are statistically more likely to kill him.

At the end of the day he knows more than most about it.

If he still chooses to do it there isn't a lot I can do to stop him - other than continually tell him what a massive chump he is.

PacificDogwod · 18/05/2016 21:48

If it is Meloxicam, yes, it's an anti-inflammatory and has NOT mind altering properties Grin

I agree, I'd me more worried about the fact that he is prepared to (apparently) take something that he has no idea what it might be than the mere fact of the existence of the pill.
And yy alcohol is more likely to land a young person in trouble.

Hope he's ok.
