I can't see anything new wrong with it?

Lariflete · 16/05/2016 10:13

No, you will need to get it re-issued.
It's obscuring the name and part of the amount in words which are two big flags for fraud. Just go back to the person who issued it (with the damaged cheque) and ask them to re-issue it. They should be fine as it's not like it is lost.

Autocorrect added "new", ignore that.

Sorry, thought the black blob I was you editing something out.

You can ask but really probably best to ask for the cheque to be reissued by whoever wrote it and return taht one to them. I think the bank woudl probably say no as they have to be able to see the full name of the payee and also the written word figures to ensure they match with the numbers

No. You need it reissuing
