Not even an old one. I just don't believe it. The man fought too hard to gain his music rights. He made sure he owned every bit of his music.
Why the hustle? Not even an old will ? Seriously!

He didn't have children or a partner did he?

He probably didn't care what happened after he died.

He was very meticulous about how he did his things. Why bother making the effort to control things the way he did? I just don't get it.

Lots of people don't make a will, including those who have worked hard and built up assets. I know of one in particular who built up significant wealth and a business which, upon his death, went to his estranged wife (who he hated and who he wasn't with when he set up the business) but his current partner and (step)child got nothing. They didn't even get a day in where he was buried

A huge proportion of people don't. He was fairly young, no kids or wife.

All this "control freak" stuff is just what we've read in the press, we've no idea whether he was meticulous or not.

I'm a solicitor and I'm no longer surprised that there are lots of people (even quite wealthy ones) out there who don't have a will. The reason is always the same - they don't want to think about dying. Sadly, it's life's only certainty. Go figure.

Well, one thing's for sure - we can't ask him about it now.

I have been listening to Prince songs all week. I have the second album he released here on vinyl - the one with the original version of "I feel for you" on it - forgotten just how much I liked it. He was an amazing talent.

I think he no longer cared. If you listen to his last album you hear how much he was already thinking about 'the other side' and spiritual things
