Birthday present for preschool colleague?

My twin girls have just had their 4th birthday - we had a party and invited their friends from kindergarten. I've since found out that around here people dont really start with birthday parties till the kids turn 5 or 6. Anyway, one of the little girls who came (and brought lovely presents) has her birthday this week. Should we get her a present, or will it come across like I'm trying too hard? I am a bit anxious about my girls fitting in as we're foreigners.

If she is not having a party, I would get her a small gift...perhaps something crafty. And get DD to make her a card.

What country are you in OP?

Yep, that's a good idea - I'm thinking colouring pencils and a Frozen colouring in book. I don't know how it is in the UK now but Frozen is still massive among the under 5s here Smile. We're in Germany.

Yes, it would be nice to give a present in return. Frozen things sound good!

I think in Germany they're so big on celebrations that it would be fine! They love giving gifts.
