Fine if you like your chicken rare!

HoneyDragon · 01/05/2016 15:51

Extra large chicken, 40 minutes on gas mark 5, surely it will be fine, the label says so Grin

Mmm slimy

NeedACleverNN · 01/05/2016 16:09

Do it...then when you get ill you can claim compensation!

HoneyDragon · 01/05/2016 16:17

I might be ever so slightly dead though?

I'll claim the money for you. Sorted

useyourimagination · 01/05/2016 16:25

do you do it in a microwave?

disclaimer: I neither eat chicken nor own a microwave :)

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 01/05/2016 16:26

I had a lamb joint from Tesco today 0.850kg cooks in 50 minutes according to the front, back of the packaging said exactly the same! It's a good job I actually do know how to cook!

TheUnsullied · 01/05/2016 16:30

Everyone likes a bit of food poisoning Wink

NeedACleverNN · 01/05/2016 16:33

That's a bit worrying really.

I don't cook so would rely on instructions

HoneyDragon · 01/05/2016 16:46

Needaclever that's ever so decent of you, fanks mate

Lonecatwithkitten · 01/05/2016 16:49

Bernard I would cook your lamb joint in 46mins, 20 mins plays 13mins per pound so tescos would be right for nice pink lamb.

WhereYouLeftIt · 01/05/2016 16:50

Blimey, even Delia's fast roast chicken is 45 minutes on gas mark 8 (and that's for a much smaller 3lb chicken).

I'm guessing, since there's a bit of the '6' missing on the bottom left of the number, there's also a '1' completely missing/unprinted in the 'hours'. But bloody dangerous, what if someone who didn't know better had bought that particular bird? Salmonella side orders all round.

NeedACleverNN · 01/05/2016 16:59

I aim to please

HoneyDragon · 01/05/2016 19:13

I tweeted Tesco, so they are on the ball in terms of killing their customer prevention

It was clearly missing the one in the hour section. Anyhoo, I cooked it and lived. Sorry to all those who wanted compo Wink
