As requested Grin

Sneaky little green bastards

Just when you think you've removed them all, there's another one!

They are the ninjas of the veg world

Give peas a chance I say

NeedACleverNN · 22/04/2016 21:21

I think peas are the least of your worries if you're eating a pot noodle :D

Crispbutty · 22/04/2016 21:24

NeedACleverNN · 22/04/2016 21:25

Love pot noodles. Love the peas. Just sad they took out some of the msg

AristotlesTrousers · 22/04/2016 21:26

Putting any veg in a Pot Noodle always seems a bit pointless, if you ask me.

That said, I do the same as you OP, and try to fish them out, but there's always one lurking unseen.

Ilovenannyplum · 22/04/2016 21:27

YANBU

I bloody hate peas.
Don't even get me started on sweetcorn. Vom. EnvyAngry

NeedACleverNN · 22/04/2016 21:27

Since the recipe changed its just not as tasty as they used to be.
Still good in a pinch though

i'm firmly in the pro pea camp. yabu.

slightlyglitterbrained · 22/04/2016 21:32

Love Pot Noodles. With peas or without.

Unfortunately last week I tried to buy one, and DS started wailing, and insisting I take it out of the trolley. Tried to sneak it back in when he wasn't looking and he spotted it immediately.

I suspect either nursery, or possibly DP of spreading disinformation about the loveliness of Pot Noodles.

hazeyjane · 22/04/2016 21:32

I once served pot noodles as a meal to guests

I picked out the 3 peas that were in the pot and added frozen peas (cooked obviously) on the top, so you had to eat your veg first before getting to the noodley 'goodness' underneath

If anybody wants to surprise and delight guests at a dinner party, that is the way to do it.

acasualobserver · 22/04/2016 21:32

They're traditional and traditions are good for us.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 22/04/2016 21:38

YANBU. I like a pea, I do, whether it's a freshly shelled one in a salad, a frozen petit pois or a properly cooked marrowfat or mushy pea. The problem with the peas in pot noodles is they never hydrate properly. They're like pea flavoured chalk. They're just too big for the 'simply add boiling water' cooking method.

What I think they should do is cook normal peas, mush them up, extrude them into little pea-style-foodstuff spheres, freeze dry them and then add them to The Pot.

MrsVamos · 22/04/2016 21:43

As promised.

YABU, and for those who miss MSG add a sprinkle of Aromat and your chicken and mushroom pot noodle will be restored to its chemical 1980s glory.

bigtapdancingpimp · 22/04/2016 22:44

I bloody hate peas. My boycat hates them too; when I feed him the Whiskas sachets he scoffs the lot but leaves the peas in a neat pile at the edge of his bowl.

Makes me Grin every time.

Mondy · 22/04/2016 22:50

Any veg of any kind is totally wrong in a Pot Noodle. It should be just the noodles and the flavouring, lots of flavouring. Then some more flavouring. Like the discontinued bacon flavour one they used to do. Used to make my teeth itch, that one. Sadly missed!

slightlyglitterbrained · 22/04/2016 22:59

Do all Pot Noodles have peas? Or is it just certain flavours?

HoneyDragon · 22/04/2016 23:03

Dried pot noodle peas are awful, I like the pretend sweet corn though.

MrsVamos · 22/04/2016 23:07

Mondy

You can get those noodles in places like B&M and Home Bargains.

Bacon noodles are lush.

I'm hungry now. I've spent nearly all evening talking about food.

limitedperiodonly · 22/04/2016 23:15

The pea is my favourite vegetable of all time. Second is the carrot. I'm unsure what I'd put third.

MrsVamos · 22/04/2016 23:17

My favourite is glazed/honeyed carrots.

Defeats the objective but hey ho.

I'm quite partial to a brussel sprout, and runner beans too.

elephantoverthehill · 22/04/2016 23:22

Get a pea shooter.

Lanark2 · 22/04/2016 23:24

Look, peas in a pot noodle are part of the Zen meditation of Pot Noodle. Reflect on the meaning of the pea.
