To be finding supply teaching agencies really annoying?

I know there's a few teachers on here, any tips for coping with them?

It's my first foray into supply teaching and I find them so patronising. Constantly perky emails and texts about positions that don't interest me and i suspect don't actually exist questions they KNOW the answer to, peculiar lies like telling me one school are 'desperate to meet me' and the school have never heard of me (am friends with the Head!)

How do you cope!?

I coped by just grinning and bearing it, until I realised how much the umbrella company were taking and then I stopped doing supply work. Thieving bastards.

Oh? Gosh that's worrying as they all seem to use them.
