tax credits, how does the renewal system work (or not!)

claimed working and child tax credit for the first time in nov last year. I'm sure they're meant to have sent me a renewal form by now but no sign, do I need to chase them?
got so much on at the mo I could do without cock ups with tax credits!

Don't worry, you'll get it before July.

You might not have to renew at all. If your income for next year is the same as this year then they may automatically renew you. You should get a letter telling you either way.

I think I usually see it come towards the end of may. That's when p60s have to be sent out by so it's all timedone together.

I spoke to tax credits a couple of weeks ago and they said they were starting to send out renewal packs the next week. So yours should arrive anytime over the next few weeks, don't worry.
