To wonder how these rain covers work

Chucking it down today so of course most Prams had a rain cover on it.

I keep seeing on certain style Prams a hole in the rain cover right where the babies face is.

How do they keep your baby dry completely?

I get on a drizzle it might run round the hole but on a heavy downpour won't it just go in?

The hole has a cover over it that you tie back/Velcro when it's not tipping down

Did they not have flaps? So the flap was rolled back and stuck in place with a velcro tab? Iyswim. Mine all had a face flap!

There was a couple with flaps but a few without
