Silver fingerprint jewellery

Posting here for traffic. My husband is now in a hospice terminally ill. I want to get some fingerprint necklaces made for our three young children and myself fairly urgently as DH is now very poorly. Can anyone recommend a good company? I don't need the finished necklaces immediately as the children's will be something to look at rather than wear until they're older but I need to get the fingerprints made urgently.

Not on the High Street do them AFAIK.

I made mine with precious metal clay but I have a blow torch and heat bricks to fire it with.

I used a company called smallprint. You visit them or they can come out to you. You should be able to find your local contact on that website. I've had mine on 4 years now and the prints are as good as they were when it was done.

Where are you? If all else fails, can you get to a Hobbycraft or similar? You can buy silver clay (PMC I think it's called) to capture your husband's fingerprints. it is pure silver with something to make it 'clay-ish', which is then fired off to leave the pure silver.

I've used Little Pinkies several times (cufflinks for dh of both hand and footprints for both dds)

She's very quick to get the info pack in the post and return the finished items. I'd not hesitate to recommend her as my dh is very happy with the results.

I've used smallprint and I know a friend who used them in the same circumstances as you

We did this with my brother's prints for my parents before he passed away and before that with my children's. Both times I used www.thevintagecharmcompany.co.uk/ the first time, someone visited us at home the second, they posted out the putty for me to mold myself. I really wish I had took extra molds, as the molds get damaged in the process, my Mom would be gutted if she lost hers, as she wouldn't be able to replace it.

What a lovely idea for your dc, well done for getting this organised, I'm sure they will treasure forever.

I would echo getting some extra prints done. A friend had my sons print done for me so cant recommend a company but mine was on a long chain and flew off mid loop - the-loop on a ride at Drayton Manor. So sorry for what you are going through.
