So I am having new vinyl fitted in my bathroom, received a call this morning, as promised, to say that they would be here between 1pm and 3pm - am I wrong to think that if you are then subsequently delayed another phone call to apologise and give new eta would be helpful/polite?

That sort of thing really gets right on my wick. Usually, I don't care what time someone is coming: sometimes I don't even care what day they come or how long something will take. But it is infuriating if they give a day, time, or hugely underestimate how long a job will take. And it happens so often.

An hour late in the end, apologised, but there two of them, so no reason why the lacky couldn't have rung in between jobs to give me a new eta whilst the main man was driving!

I really thought this was going to be about sex Blush

LordoftheTits · 30/03/2016 17:10

Me too, Worra Grin

WorraLiberty · 30/03/2016 17:13

I just thought the OP was super efficient and ran a very tight schedule Grin

Oh God - me too! If I'd known it was about floor tiles I'd have moved swiftly on to the next sex-problem thread - and there are plenty of them out there Grin

pippistrelle · 30/03/2016 17:28

I seeing my own post upthread in a whole new light.

Now, where did I put my clipboard?

WorraLiberty · 30/03/2016 18:01

pippistrelle - "But it is infuriating if they give a day, time, or hugely underestimate how long a job will take. And it happens so often."

I'm reading that in a whole new light now too Grin

pippistrelle · 30/03/2016 18:48

Filth!

JolseBaby · 30/03/2016 19:07

God I am glad there are some other filthy posters that read the thread title and boggled at the prospect of a MNer so organised, that she could allocate a timeslot for ejaculation Grin

Paintedhandprints · 30/03/2016 19:09

I thought it might be about a sperm deposit....

ilovesooty · 30/03/2016 20:01

George the Second apparently ran his sex life according to a timetable.

molyholy · 30/03/2016 21:29

I too thought it was sex related Grin

"hurry up darling. I have you scheduled in between 7.30 to 8.00. Masterchef is on"
