Shouting for the heads of Police Officers

Operation Midland is being closed. The latest ex MP (Harvey Proctor) to be cleared is now calling for an independent inquiry and for just about everyone who matters in the Met to be sacked. Perhaps I'm being overly simple here but is it not the job of the police to investigate allegations and reach conclusions? It seems a bit silly to demand that people leave their jobs for actually doing them.

Yanbu Police cannot win on this.

A public enquiry Is needed.

His main complaints seemed to be on remarks made by senior Officers, such as the complaint being "credible and true", early on and Lord Brittan being called "Evil" etc.

It doesn't seem unreasonable what he's calling for, he has a right to do that. Whether his requests are correct, is for the investigation to discover.

I disagree that another enquiry is needed. We're becoming obsessed with paying fortunes to investigate investigations. There has already been an apology for the credible and true comment. We want people to come forward and to encourage them by showing that we will listen and take it seriously, but then we want to sack the very officers who are taking allegations seriously and listening to potential victims.

Pffft, Harvey Proctor should thank his lucky stars and slink off back under his rock. He was very good friends with my old headmaster, who went to prison for CSA.
