To feel like I don't fit in anywhere?

I'm 'posh' accent wise and name wise. Always gets commented on (strong local accent round here: mine stands out.)

However I'm not 'posh.'

Posh people think I'm common, and ordinary people think I'm posh.

AIBU to feel discombobulated?

I love the word discombobulated misses point

I had similar growing up - went to private school so village children thought I was posh but school children thought I was common as not from money.

Just shrug it off - who cares which you are / neither

I was called posh at school when I absolutely was not. I live in London and know real 'posh' people, makes me feel more normal, even if they don't realise how working class and northern I really am. It's good to be a little mixed up but it can be tricky to overcome initial judgements if there are prejudices. You have to be a bit more confident than normal.

I don't care Disney but other people do - it's like I can never find 'my' people :)
