What the fuck??? They are everywhere! I was at a local restaurant last week, and yet another school mum cornered me in the toilets, to rave on about bloody Juice Plus! She told me it was a whole new way of life, bored me with a long speech about the benefits of beetroot, and offered her support, as my local rep, in losing my excess weight. The woman in question is a lot bigger than I am, not that it matters, except it kind of does when she tells me I need Beetroot Ultra Blast Fuck in my life

On FB this morning, and got an invite to like a page run by another local mum. Again not someone I would take health advice from, but who is now declaring her "life long passion for health and nutrition!"
She also messaged me a week ago to suggest we meet up, after a radio silence lasting months. Aibu to think this is because she wants to sell me things?

I really, really hate these schemes. I think they are preying on the vulnerable. It's mostly struggling single mums,or those with health issues that mean they can't work outside the home, who seem to sign up as reps

I know someone selling the forever living crap and posts about the Clean Nine detox or whatever constantly, has been doing it for months. She is massively overweight (I'm not being bitchy here, she is unhealthily so), smokes like a trooper and has never done a days exercise in her life. Everyone knows the aloe stuff is a sham but no one will say anything.

I know someone with 'the car' and 'the holidays' etc who quit her decent job about a year ago to aloe Vera her life up... Interestingly enough she's doing slimming world now, I'm surprised she's made that info public as SURELY if detoxing with the help of a juicey leaf was so effective you wouldn't need to pay extra every week to join slimming world?!

Slimming World works, Aloe shit doesn't so I doubt they see it as a threat. Although again it's a chance to try and get to women when they are feeling vulnerable. Vultures.
