AIBU to miss toe socks...

I was just looking for some black boots online and came across an Amazon listing for toe socks! It totally reignited the love I felt for them previously, how cosy and brightly coloured they can be.

So AIBU?

They made my toes colder. I think my toes thrive on each other for warmth Smile

ShowOfHands · 17/03/2016 21:06

I got some for Christmas. They're so uncomfortable. I have an alarming variety of colourful knee high socks. Today's are patchwork. The toes bit I can live without.

ABitSensible · 17/03/2016 21:10

Yes you are bvu. I dont like those split toe shoes that make you look like you have ostrich feet either.

elephantoverthehill · 17/03/2016 21:11

I had a pair of toe socks once. None of my shoes would fit. If you did go out wearing them and your wellies no one could see them anyway. Completely pointless fashion.

WhatALoadOfOldBollocks · 17/03/2016 21:11

"They made my toes colder. I think my toes thrive on each other for warmth"

Sure I read an article saying mittens were warmer than gloves for exactly that reason so you're probably right about the toe socks.

RavioliOnToast · 17/03/2016 21:12

Are those the Nike trainers ? I've never tried them. Grin I am jealous of your Christmas toe socks Show

The were amazing in all their wriggly-ness

Eughhhh no they used to freak me out. If I wiggled my toes the fabric would rub together and go right through me. I'm cringing at the thought of it.

ABitSensible · 17/03/2016 21:17

I mean, come on.

AIBU to miss toe socks...

Having something between your toes like that is all kinds of wrong.

ClopySow · 17/03/2016 22:29

Yabu. I broke my coccyx because of toe socks. I will never wear them again.

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/03/2016 22:31

Oh, I loved those, can you still buy them?

Sandbrook · 17/03/2016 22:32

Camel toe of the feet
Yabu

YabVvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvVU

Bleurgh

But if you do buy them you are obligated to wear them with the sheep correction shoes over on style and beauty due to them being removable socks and they'd improve those

LordoftheTits · 17/03/2016 22:37

Yes, they were awful! I hated that they were wool instead of stretchy cotton, and if I pulled them up too far they pressed against the bits in between my toes and the feeling made me feel a bit sick Envy (vom face)

LordoftheTits · 17/03/2016 22:39

Wait, those aren't toe socks! Those are barefoot trainers?

Toe socks were the socks with separate bits for your toes, like gloves for your feet!

RavioliOnToast · 17/03/2016 22:53

They are the toe socks I meant too. (The rainbow ones)

The thread derailed a bit when it was mentioned about those toe seperate-y trainers.

I used to love toe socks as a kid. Now they just just hurt my fat little piggies toes. YABU! Don't do it. It ruined the memory for me.
As for those shoes, I found myself horribly mesmerised by a lady wearing a pair recently, according to DH my disgust was visible. You could see her big toe moving out of sync with the rest. Eugh.

gruffaloshmuffalo · 18/03/2016 02:38

I am currently wearing toe socks. I love them! My family bought me and DH some for Christmas, I stole both pairs.

ABitSensible · 18/03/2016 03:22

They are all wrong. All of them. just wrong.

Mousefinkle · 18/03/2016 07:18

They were all the rage in school so I had some sexy rainbow ones and I think some pink and black ones but they were soooo uncomfortable. The threads used to get loose and feel all tight around my toes. I don't like things between my toes though, never been able to get into flip flops either. They're ugly as hell too! Those trainers are so gross as well.

RavioliOnToast · 19/03/2016 08:04

Well I think YA all Bu.

Dh desperately wanted a pair after he felt that he missed out when he was a teenager because he was a boy so I bought him some for christmas. He loves them. Strange man. I did break a toe when wearing lovely rainbow toe socks when I was about 12 though so I went off them from then.
