Applied for a job, closing date was on Tuesday. Have been anticipating a phone call or email (interviews are early next week) so I knew if I was going to hear back it would be today or tomorrow.

My phone rang and the number it displayed was the area code for the job I'd applied for.

Fucking 'why haven't you applied for compensation for your road traffic incident'

Those cold callers are very annoying but they didn't set out to deliberately be 'cruel' to you.

I know, it just felt awful! From the same area, you couldn't make it up!

Used to get lots of those showing a local code. Always, always thought it would be a client with a booking, so was never amused and never cuntish, because they were just doing their job
