It's come as a real surprise to me how much I enjoy being back at work full time.
First went back to work p/t when DTs were 11 months old, 2 days per week, mostly from home but with monthly commute to London. Got made redundant, studied for a year, spent some time looking for a job and started in my current role a few months ago.
It's been a big adjustment for us all and life is quite chaotic but I love going into the office, mixing with other adults and having interesting problems to deal with.
I don't miss having to do all the tedious, repetitive grunt work of looking after the children and the house and enjoy the time I do spend with the children more in consequence. I do sometimes feel guilty for not being there for the children's school stuff though.
I thought I'd find it a struggle but I wish I'd gone back full time years ago!
