It's slightly pointless though - they're not related statements. There are many people who made clever property purchase choices over the years that have resulted in wealth now.
I think TB is a war criminal and should be treated as such, but if the Guardian believes that he and his wife have acquired their property/wealth illegally, they should say so. And whether they acquired their wealth legally or illegally, it is not relevant to the story about how difficult it is to afford property for the rest of us.
I'm all for criticising TB, but only where it is pertinent.
