I don't have any curtains. Makes the annual wash easier.

I'm supposed to wash curtains? Damn.

Fatmomma99 · 10/03/2016 22:53

what are curtains?

RudeElf · 10/03/2016 22:54

When the cat pisses on them.

BibbtyBobbityFeckOff · 10/03/2016 22:55

I did the fabric blinds once...they don't go up and down any more Grin lesson learnt!

AnnaMarlowe · 10/03/2016 22:55

None of my curtains would fit in the machine they are all too large. I suspect given the fabrics that they am would have to be dry cleaned.

they look fine to me... Smile

SmellySourdough · 10/03/2016 22:56

what curtains?

LuluJakey1 · 10/03/2016 22:56

Bedrooms once a year.
Front room go to dry cleaners once every 2 or 3 years.
Blinds - not washed or cleaned.
Other rooms don't have curtains.

ThankGodItsAlmostSpringTime · 10/03/2016 22:56

Phew. My housekeeping skills are not as bad as I thought then.

Never washed any of ours. Ooops. They're all less than 5 years old though, does that make it ok?

EdYouKateShaun · 10/03/2016 22:57

How often do I what? my curtains? 😂

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 10/03/2016 22:57

Well I washed them for first time in 5years as I had ran out of things to iron with my new novelty gadget.

Standingonmytippytoes · 10/03/2016 22:57

I'm too scared to wash mine in case they shrink

SealSong · 10/03/2016 22:59

I never bother; they never seem to get dirty at all. A bit dusty yes, but nothing that a going over with the vac attachment won't fix.

donajimena · 10/03/2016 22:59

ignore I went through a phase of ironing EVERYTHING when I got a steam generator iron. My curtains sadly missed the memo! Grin

ThankGodItsAlmostSpringTime · 10/03/2016 22:59

Although I did while away a few hours today wiping 2 years of dust off the individual slats of the all the upstairs blinds. That was rather satisfying.

LovelyFriend · 10/03/2016 23:01

You have to what? Shock

BibbtyBobbityFeckOff · 10/03/2016 23:03

When I first moved into our flat I took the wooden kitchen blinds down and cleaned them with a toothbrush. It was rather satisfying Hmm I still give them a stroke every now and again when washing up...

coffeeisnectar · 10/03/2016 23:03

I hoover mine but that's because one of the cats lies on the hem. He's a furry bastard and so are the curtains.

ReedBunting · 10/03/2016 23:04

Did it once... shrank them so much they happily floated 1cm above the windowsill Sad

lightgreenglass · 10/03/2016 23:06

Shock people wash their curtains....

FoxFeatures · 10/03/2016 23:07

We have so many windows - quick count was 21, but maybe more - that curtains get vacuumed and that is it. TBH some windows have shutters which is easier.

Mrsmorton · 10/03/2016 23:10

How do they get dirty? Is it because you don't wear underwear to bed?
