Don't forget the soft, insulating layer of dead skin cells - a bit like hamster bedding.

When you lay in sweaty old sheets your body warmth can warm them up quicker. Plus you have the power of old farts lingering in a warming fashion.

You need to iron them. Put them on the bed then iron them. Then jump in. Unplug the iron first though.
