AIBU to start eating sugar again?

I cut out sugar from my diet about a month ago, mainly because I was craving it alot of the time (I don't need to lose weight). I found it surprisingly easy. I was expecting to feel full of energy, sleeping better, better skin and hair etc, however, I don't feel or look any different at all. I'm still eating the same amount but as alot of it is savoury I'm worried I may have substituted sugar for salt! I'm now thinking I could just have a low-sugar diet, ie. the odd biscuit/cake here & there. Or should I just carry on as I have been but watch the salt? Thanks

Honestly I went back to a "little bit" of sugar and now eat as much as before.

Did you also cut out refined carbs and other high GI foods, and foods high in natural sugar eg bananas?

No, I haven't cut out natural sugars at all. I like my fruit too much. I generally have a healthy diet - lots of vegetables. I've just basically cut out all refined sugars - I used to eat sugary cereals, yoghurts, white pasta & rice, cakes, biscuits, sweets....the list goes on.
