To think the 'Disrespect NoBody' ad campaign is horribly sexist?

Not sure if this has already been discussed but has anybody else seen the 'Disrespect NoBody' TV adverts that are supposedly raising awareness for healthy relationships and domestic violence?

Every single scenario in the advert is targeted at men abusing women whether it be physically or emotionally. Y'know because men are never victims?

It's very telling isn't it, that some men are so used to being agreed with and pandered to by women that they consider it abject cruelty when we do not comply.

A person wrote a mean message, and they seemingly did so out of trauma?

How do I deal with hurt people? Not by hurting them? It just creates an escalating conflict. Those comments weren't written in isolation but as part of a dialogue.

I'd like to make this clear - it is absolutely not sexist to say that you don't want to be abused.

And it's quite hypocritical too. If it is sexist for me to say that I don't like prejudice and abuse - how is it not sexist for you to say it?

Normal common curtsey is that when someone politely tells you they don't like something, because it's offensive (Even if you yourself didn't realise), you apologise.

I am not going to apologise because someone took offence to a word that comes from Greek meaning foolish and has been used for centuries, used briefly at the beginning of the 20th century to describe adults who had a mental age of 8-12 but hasn't been used in that context for generations.
