There was this book I read once, can't remember that much about it (it wasn't a great book) but the main character was asked by a psychiatrist to describe herself in 3 words, and she says something like "5"7, green-eyes, blond" and the psych says "ok" and this bothers her, so she asks her BF same question, and her BF says something like "wife, mother, lover", and she asks several other people and they all give different answers. So it's an interesting question about how we describe ourselves when we pare it down.
I feel I could do "me" in so many different ways, and they're all true and so, so different....
Wife, mother, worker.
Loud, gobby, tactless.
"Fatmommer is amazing" (this was the label of my secret santa gift last Christmas. It's still up on the wall. DH and DD both beg me to take it down. my response is "Famtommer is amazing, it says so right there")
Busy, tired, drunk.
Caring, sensitive, active.
Involved, supportive, wrong.
Lefty, Ill-informed, campaigning.
I'm all of those. And got a stealth boast in. I still think it's an interesting question.
