AIBU to think that, having taken out a mobile phone price plan with EE, it's not really on to now inform me the monthly cost is to be increased? Surely if I've agreed to a set price, it should stick at this for the remainder of the term?

It happens all of the time.There will be something in the small print about it and you will have signed to say you agreed they can.

With some things, eg internet or tv packages, you get an opt out period where you can terminate the contract. I doubt you would have that if you have an expensive handset as part of the bargain.

It sucks, but there is nothing you can do.
